I feel as though I have read all the books under the sun, tried things and not really had much response... any tips?

Today I decided I would investigate my local area and see if there are any gaps in the market shop wise.... however my next problem was, what is the best way to go about leasing a shop? All the websites I came across were for London and not really much help

Any advice my sweets?

In addition to the other suggestions - yell.com/website/leafleting I would also try and get some business from local hotels/wedding venues/restaurants. A lot of business is through word of mouth - have you been to any local business forums/chamber of commerce etc

If you took a shop, would you start from scratch or buy a going concern?
