Hi there,
It was my first Christmas last year and like you I didn't know what to expect. However this is what I learned if it's of any use to you.
Holly wreaths are a real winner and don't underestimate how many you might need. I had ordered 80 from my supplier and he let me down ,by this time I was sitting with orders for 90 odds. Nothing for it but to get stuck in. The quickest and easiest way was use oasis rings. I based with cypres then holly ,stuck in some berries Christmas rosies or posettias or lilies and a choice of poly prop ribbon. They could also choose 10" base which eneded up being 14" or 14" which was a beauty at 20". Was frantic but it was a real payer. I have already wired berries and ribbons for 75 so far. Try using a pair of welders gloves for the holly. Abit heavy but works a treat.
I also did an open night at the end of November and it was a real winner. Served mulled wine, mince pies ,fruit cake and roasted chestnuts. If they drink your drink they feel guilt ridden to buy, if that fails get them sozzled and remind them the next day of the fantastic order they gave you
.They'll be too embarrassed to deny it. A win win situation
