I'm doing Advanced Floristry at the moment.
When I did the first two years I was in the same boat as you - I found a friendly wholesaler and asked all the other students to order through me, and together we managed to keep the costs down and still have the flowers we wanted to work with. I did find that a lot of wholesalers would not sell to me as an individual. You could try talking to the florist shop you currently buy from to see if they could help, if you can build relations with them perhaps you might beable to get some work experience at some point going forward.
