Oh, so do I. I have been very lucky in life. I have had some very interesting jobs that I have really enjoyed. But NOTHING absolutely NOTHING comes close to floristry. I come into the shop every morning looking forward to working with the flowers. I would never admit this publicly of course but I come very close to sending them a goodnight kiss when I close the door at night.
The variety in this job is amazing, one day you are seeing a young couple excited about their wedding, the next helping someone to hang on whilst they try to pick flowers for their loved one who has just died.
Then there is all the in-between. To-night I'm making an arrangement for a local public house, sadly it will be necessary for me to take it down in person later – and it would frankly, be bad manners if I did not stop to have a pint or two with the locals. (oh the trials and tribulations you go through with this job) Love it? No, I adore it – the bestest job in the whole world.
