I have had good results with propagating roses, just by cutting stem off, placing in water for two days then put rooting powder on and plant(inside first)not all of the stems take but ... well I now have 9 new rose bushes in my garden.Must say you have to be in the mood to fuss with them. Ok I know you cango to a garden centre but these were roses that were bought for me with special meanings.eg wedding ann from our sons,recovering from operation etc.
