one thing I have learned over the years there is always room for improvements!! I am very humble and I love talking to others in the biz. I learn something new all the time.. I always have room to make adjustment.
I think what some florist with "real" brick and morter buildings don't care for is the "basement? Bettys that try to throw flowers together and call it wedding work!!! they work out of there homes with no coolers, no tax i.d # don't pay the insurance and liability that a florist has too. Or claim it on their taxes..
I know what a hassle it was when my husband built me my little shop to work from. It sits on our land but the county made us jump though hoops if I was going to run it as a home base business!! permits, we had to have the driveway up to code, just a lot of paper work, but I was looking forward to having my place of business here where I could raise my family.. it was a lot just to be open from march- dec. but well worth it..

so I do see there point.
I have people all the time calling wanting to work with me so they can open a business too. some people just think it's fun and no work. I have to laugh if they only new the stress it is.....
