Smile Hyacmimphs

Hiya guys!

I was looking on Metz earlier, and they said to leave the bottom of hycacinths in tact.

I was lead to believe that they can't take up water/nutrients if you leave the white fleshy bit on the bottom.

What is the right thing to do as I am ordering 100's for a wedding? They are going to line the sides of the aisle on a moss bed with tea-lights. Don't wanna all droop now do I!
