Have been reading up about lisianthus - and it was piccolo that we had. It seems that it should have a decent enough vase life but heat does seem to be a major problem. I'm guessing the environment just didn't suit it and the smelly stinking water that was 4 days old proves that.

I felt like saying to her that the water was so stinking that I'm surprised anything was still alive.

Just a shame that the dead lisianthus made her notice a couple of slightly dried out snapdragon flowers and made her think the viburnum was droopy too.

This one tends to be a bit of a winger anyway of course. I just hope that the other houses that have the lisianthus aren't as warm. Oh, and they use their flower food which this one can't have.
