I notice this with Molucella as well - certain times of the year it's great and others like poo. I used to put it down to warm & damp weather during the summer but got it recently and it went straight into the bin - very weak and seemed quite damp. Now I'm not sure when it is okay to order and when not - I'm pretty sure my wholesaler is sick of me ordering it and then complaining that it isn't good. It's a shame as I love using it.

I try to give my customers a variety of flowers from one time to the next but am finding it quite hard to do this and still feel confident that the flowers are going to last long enough in peoples warm houses for them not to be disappointed. Tropicals are fine and I love the people who want that look but I have an increasing amount of people who want the more cottagy/country styles but still expect them to last 2 weeks in their houses. I'm also getting more and more people telling me they are allergic to lillies. Are there any pretty/country style flowers which are relatively problem free that I am forgetting about ? I find it not so difficult during the winter with waxflower (I love pale pink waxflower & erygium together) and I can use away at hypericum/leucadendron etc but I'm now looking for something less wintery looking. Any ideas ?

Oh, and I went to buy flowers this morning and couldn't bring myself to even look at the lisianthus.
