It was a 4ft x 2ft board. I didn't think it was worth risking the instability of the handle bit by adding it on from a separate piece. Any bits of board I have left over I cut letters from it with my trusty jigsaw. I never waste any bits! I can always rustle up a MUM or Nan frame for nowt!
