Our current tutor is fab and although she keeps quiet when we have a moan about the other one, you can see she knows what we mean.
Wasn't it Paula Pryke who said the rules were there to be broken - wouldn't argue with her on that. Floristry is creative and we should be able to express that creativity and not be put down by those clearly out of touch - most of the time it'll work, and sometimes it won't I guess

I agree. The rules are there to be broken. I personally feel it's important to know what the rules are first, in order to break them in the right way. Otherwise you don't know how or why you are breaking the rules. Does that make sense? My tutor says you need to 'own' your skills in order to create, and I agree. Many can copy from books, and make a good living at it, but it's not your work is it.
It's a real shame this lady has put you off. You are great gals and could easily achieve excellent results if you pursue courses. Have you looked at other colleges?
