Its very unfair isnt it. I aways now for large orders ring streamline (who im with) for their authorisation, they can at least check details of customer etc, I had a cloned card once. Things to watch out for are no name on the card message like "love from your sister" etc, and large orders for silks, champagne and anything that can be sold on. Police I dont think are that helpful, not round here anyway, the guy who had the shop before me got the police involved and even went to the recipients door with the police. They never answered and the case wasnt followed up, they told him they knew the family and would be keeping an eye on them, fat lot of good that is. So try and recover yourself I think, like what has already been suggested.....good luck
