Hello everyone :)

I've been reading this forum for a short while, and finally plucked up the courage to join!

My name is Jaymee,
I'm 20 yo and will be 21 on the 23rd of this month (woop!)
I'm expecting my first baby (sproglett) due on the 29th of september,
I live on the very sunny or very muddy Isle of Wight!

Career wise i was an Auxiliary nurse, on my (looooooong) way to university to do my nursing degree, But unfortuantley i lost my job early in my pregnancy as i was having alot of complications and as i was only on a temporary contract, Work just told me not to bother coming in anymore.

So, i thought sod nursing for a bit and decided to do things now that i really enjoy doing, because as much as i would like to become a fully trained RGN, i keep getting knocked back with my training, Besides, nursing is something that i can allways come back to, at any age, why not have some fun now ?

Floristry has allways interested me from right back when i was a little girl, but i never thought of it as an actual career. The oppertunities on this lovley time warp of an Island arent very good for these kind of careers so i thought it would never happen. But as someone said to me the other day, i have to take my passion and make it happen!

I've just started looking at courses, none in my close area but i expected that, which means that i will have to travel by ferry and then a long bus journey to classes.
I'm having alot of trouble though as the only courses i can find start in september, which is no good for me having a baby at the end of that month! and the lastest you can join the course is 3 weeks after the start date
*sigh*

An evening course/part time would suit me wonderfully as it is quite a mission to travel. I'm looking desperatley for a summer school to keep me busy in the mean time as im having alot of problems with finding a job as you can imagine as no one will employ me for 10 weeks, which is all ive got left before i would be on maternity.

Anyway, hello to you all
