I grow sweetcorn every year, it's quite easy but i never get mahoosive cobs and quite often they are only partially pollinated. I grow a shorter season super sweet one called Swift (i think) normally. They like a lot of sun and water and are greeder feeders too . Take up quite a bit of room for what they yield but homegrown taste so much better and they look pretty too.
