Just saw this and wonder if you might know the answer for me - I planted a peony last year, didn't expect much last year but had a single bud that died on the stem. Again have a single bud but not very big. Gets fair sun, but I am concerned am on clay soil, although I have put lots of soil conditioner in. Wondering if moving it this autum to a pot might help??? Or is it the lack of sunlight - only gets sun about half the day. Any answers would be appreciated, I love peonies but am concerned I have bitten off more than I can chew with this one!
