Level 3 Floristry

Hi Raven

In 2006/7 I studied level 2 C&G Floristry, and since September last year have been on the BTEC Level 3. Blurb from the college states that the course is split 50/50 for both theory and practical. In reality the course is split 75/25 (the greater part being THEORY!!). We finish in six weeks time and are now only just onto bridal bouquets. There is loads of repetition in the theory work, only some of it is a bit more in depth than last year.

In my opinion, if you have to fund the course yourself, DON'T waste your money. Spend it wisely on doing day courses on practical skills which really interest you.

Straw poll from six of my class mates

Would we do it again? 6 No

Would we have started if we really knew how much time was theory work? 6 No

Was it worth the money? 6 No

Best Wishes
