Yes it would be lovely to have a big shop but the are practical advantages to the small one. I don't know what your sundries suppliers are like but we have 1 that comes weekly, one fortnightly and 1 monthly so we just changed buying habbits and bought less more often.

Having said that it really, really sucked not having enough room at Mothers Day! But we survived and even when we were in the big shop we thought we didn't have enough room for peaks.
hehe..beating you by 2 sqm(not a feet person either!) We do have the luxury of having a storage room at the back thats just as big tho!! (we call it our 'party barn') small is soooooo much easier to stock! The shop I used to work for was around 500 sqm-greenhouse style-which was fun to clean! Have alot of comments from customers saying that mine is much more comfortable and cozy to shop in. Also its great to be able to have a good stock turn-over, you sell a load, you order a load and it keeps the customer coming back for a nose to see what new stuff has come in...even tho it may have been sitting in the party-barn for a month already!

good luck with whatever you do!!
