Just 1 idea..depending on the size of the balls..if you know someone who saves all those MFI bits..little plastic washers that are sort of concave and are designed to take a cap to cover the screw head. you could just about poke a wire through the hole and circle it off, then glue the lot to the ball. I bet there are easier ways..but there ya go!
