Having been bench trained in the mysteries of floristry, I learnt to condition, prepare, wire, moss up, etc., at my boss's side. It gave me the groundwork to be able to know how to make anything.
If I know how to wire an ivy leaf.....I know how to wire any similar leaf. If I know how to wire a rose, I know how to wire any similar flower.........a technique appropriate to one thing is applicable to many others........anyway, my point is..........if you learn the basics and groundwork, you should know how to apply it to any required flower, leaf, stick, stone, new age crystal, table leg, horses hoof........and old Uncle Tom Cobbley and all.
