i have wired them before, you need thick wires tho, it depends how big the sunflowers are, if they are huge then wiring them may not work, i find sometimes when i have got them from the wholesaler they can look a bit sad and wilted but sometimes they just need a drink,and yes i would wire them like a gerbera,someone else may come along and suggest something else so watch this space
