level 3
Hi Zahra
Sounds to me like you may have done City and Guilds design and craft (Floristry) level 2. One unit is all art and craft and one unit floristry?
At my college this would not take you on to level 3 floristry, you would have to do the City and Guilds National Certificate floristry level 2 first (N.C.2)
then go on to level 3 Advanced national certificate 3 (ANC 3)
The standards on both these levels have changed and hours in a shop are a compulsory unit (40 and 80 hrs per year respectively) These I would suggest are the most widely recognised certificates.
Someone earlier said they were going to do I.C.S.F anfdthen N.D.S.F. as far as I am aware these quals no longer exist they have become college courses level 4 & 5.
Funding by Government (L.S.C.) has changed and under 19 is free, under 25 fees waived if first level 2/3 over 25 no funding but certain benefits can be considered. Also if full time course and living with 1 other working adult can get some of council tax refunded up to 25% I believe. Also many colleges have adult access fund that you may be able to tap into, you need to check with student welfare at your college.
If you have done National Certificate 2 you will have sat an on-line or paper based multi choice question paper.
Hope this helps.
