Redhead, I put that down to the fact that there's a weird crossover in floristry between skilled labour - which takes professionalism to perform and flexibility to fit in with peaks and lulls - and 'shop work', which has always been seen as pin money, part time work that fits in with the kids dancing lessons and hubby's holidays and vet visits and the plumber calling and Phil 'n' Fern having Cilla on, blah blah blah...

I swear blind that if all florist shops were called design studios and all shop owners re-named creative directors who lead a team of senior/junior designers you'd not have a problem with interviewees saying they don't like mondays!

Hairdressers have done it, why haven't we?!
