Hello,
I am hoping someone will fancy some experience over Xmas in West Yorkshire, near Huddersfield.
We are small shop yet gets busy at Christmas and could go with an extra pair of hands. You would get 'real' experience of working in a florists, so scrubbing vases and brewing up feature highly! You will get an opportunity to get your hands on flowers too, it is the only way to learn. Your job will include:

serving customers (all lovely)
taking phone orders ( professionally and profitably)
deliveries (local)
cleaning (we all have to!)
cutting/conditioning flowers (nice job)
wrapping flowers ( I am fussy, but you'll get training)
merchandising / display (making shop look fab)
processing credit cards (easy peasy)

This is temp. job for three weeks, working just a few hours per day,we hope you'll be able to work the odd Saturday morning (from 8am) and now and again late (up to 9pm)

In return we offer a rubbish package!

min. wage,apron,tea,and a tiny staff discount.
If you fancy being a florist but don't know if it is for you, or don't know where to start, this could be for you. Give us chance you may like it!

Come on everyone looking for 'ikle bit of work, I bite but never draw blood.

Did I mention you also need:

Own thermals
Chilblain cream - catering size
Ability to wear coat indoors (over two jumpers)
To look approachable in full face balaclava

Now tigger63 Wales isn't so far. I have a cracking idea, if you sleep in the basement of the shop I will throw you a crust now and again. (taking care not to share with our mice) You can walk home Xmas Eve and still be in time for Santa.

Alby, can I just put you right, we NEVER beat staff with sticks. We only ever use contoured hazel, more in keeping with our image of a little bit posh.....

If you are prepared to do dirty work, have a giggle, and put in a few hours you may have a blast and get paid for it. Last years helper still with us, so that must say something.( and no she is not in chains in said basement!)
