BIG HELLO from a new member!
Just became a member and thought it would be nice to say "Hello" to all existing members / readers!
I am a young software engineer with an interest in floristry. Completed an introductory course in floristry and got lucky to spend a few hours every weekend at a local floristry shop. Would be nice to know about how you got into floristry and your thoughts on it. Thanx! GiGa |

You mostly see women going for a career in floristry but I'm little embarrassed to say here's a man with interest in floristry!
It took a while to gather some courage to do a starter course, finally did enroll for one beginning in January, completed it by Easter. In the middle of it I got lucky to get to spend a few hours at the local shop. I would help out on conditioning and get to make something after. Have never done any funeral or wedding work. Mostly did hand-tieds (aquas) and some little arrangements. Would like to know your thoughts on doing a course v/s learning at shop. Any further advice will be appreciated. Cheers, -GiGa |
