Hi everyone,
Sorry I didn't answer your lovely welcomes this morning, but I had to get deliveries done.
You have no idea how glad I am to have found this site.
I opened a flower shop 18 months ago and it has been some roller coaster.Talk about having to hang onto your nerves!!!!!
There have been so many times when I could have done with a bit of advice or reassurance as well as someone to chat to.
I work on my own in a rather secluded location you could say so keeping morale up and yourself motivated can be a full time job in itself when business is slow , if not turgid.
I have been viewing the site for a couple of days, but was unsure of joining as you all seem highly experienced and successful, and I am definately in the infancy of making my first million.
Despite that I love my job and wil gladly contribute any info I can as well as support and a shoulder to cry on if neccessary

How many millionaire florists do you know then?! I think we're all the same on here, its great to get tips and pick everyones brain when yours has gone on holiday for the day. Also nice to vent about those moments that we all have running a business that involves customers!

Welcome anyway! I'm only 6 months in and I totally get the moments of panic!

I;m not 'INSIDE OR NUFFIN gUV'.
I live in a small fishing village in the north of Scotland and my shop is a converted old fishermans shed down at the harbour, in fact I'm 20 paces from the beach.
Idyllic as it sounds, and it is when the sun shines but have you seen the weather this year.
It took me 3 months to clean it up, put in electricity and descale and defungus(????) it.
Still sure I've had some kind of brain storm but a dream is a dream wherever it may transpire even if it means starting from scratch
