Hi kay. Don't give up on your dream of completing a floristry course. The twins will grow up! And when they are older you could take a part time course and qualify. I think some of the students we have on here only go to college one or two days a week. Pop into the floristry student forum and ask they will tell you.
You wouldn't be the first florist to take a break then go back to it. There is no substitution for good training. Which course were you on?
Nice to meet you.

For goodness sake girl, you're just a slip of a kid. Of course your time will come. Before you know it they will be at senior school so you will probrably be able to get home before they do. I did city and guilds too, it's a good course. Have you thought about perhaps offering to go into a local florist shop without pay for an hour or two per week just for some experience? It will add to what you have learnt in your first year city and guilds. I did that and it was invaluable training for when I went to work (and get paid) in a florist shop.

We are hoping that admin will set up a gardening and plant forum so if he does your imput would be really welcome. Have a look at our thread about it.
Lovely to chat to you. All the best.

Welcome Kay. Agree with the others - don't give up on your dream. I didn't know I was interested in floristry til I was 41! I have just started C&G level 2 and hoping to make my dream a reality in the next year or 2. There's lots of advice on here - am sure you'll enjoy it
