Hiya - great forum!!!! I was in stitches reading some of the posts last night, and almost burnt the tea coz I got carried away

I have been on "the other forum" for a little while now, and already recognise some names over here but looking forward to chatting to all of you.

I am based in Chesterfield in Derbyshire and bought my shop as an existing (but badly operated) business just over a year ago. I have been a florist for 5 years now after re-training from a crappy career in restaurant management (I decided i wanted to do a job where people appreciated what you did for them - not just complained to you all the time) and I passed my National diploma in Floristry with a tripple distinction! The shop seems to be going ok, sales are up from last year so its going in the right direction, i have a part time girl that helps me and my future-mother-in-law also helps out twice a week (for free - bonus!!!) - but its much harder work than i ever imagined so these forums are invaluble for advice, to let off steam and have a laugh!

Off to do a wedding now - its a biggie, with a phaelenopsis orchid shower BQ & i'm v.scared......
