Excellent advice from Potty. You have a good start Brocky; you grew up with flowers so you have an understanding of them, a feel for them if you like. It is a wise idea to get trained properly. Is the course at Mysercough full? If not with your background growing up in a market garden what sosas said could apply, they may take you on late. When I started training for my City and Guilds I missed the first term, but because I had former experience they allowed me to catch up. It was great and as Potty said, "Best Thing I Ever Ever Did Love It". If they won't let you on the course yet make sure your name is down for the next available one, and uses the time to do your research. The lovely thing about having your family in business and growing up in that environment is that you are half way there. You know or your Dad will know the tax issues, suppliers, and local businesses. You have time to choose your location and even do one of those free start up business courses to get more assistance. Good luck with your dream, we have all been there. Whatever happens in the future I am glad that I went for it, and I think most of us feel the same way. All the Best.
