Not a bother all my life xmas dinner was for anywhere between 15-19 people now we have 9-10 so miss that big gathering. We had immediate family plus neighbours who were old single or widowed and those who were housebound mum plated a dinner and dad was dispatched with it. Dad died 17 years ago and mum 3 years ago now it is just ourselves and 2 guys who are always alone over xmas (wifes have left them and turned the kids against their dad this happened my cousin and he had a very bleak xmas his kids were not due to visit until new year decided to go see him 2 days after boxing day he had drank bottle of vodka and taken pills he was only 39 and had never a drink in his life)

Christmas can be very hard. I can't do new years eve, have to be alone but thats a long story
