Yeah, I was hoping too that the xmas e-mail would do the trick. Then again as a forum community we all seem to have a fairly good rapport with each other...Who needs outsiders?!!

Only kidding any newbies out there...we were all newbies once!!

Agree with what you say about everyone having a good rapport but more people chatting would possibly be more ideas hints tips to bandy about with so come on all you members who haven't posted yet we want you to join in our chats

I am going to try to be careful how I say this because I don't want to start a war, but .................... I think some people are put off posting because they feel quite intimidated. They see posts from other new people where they have been shot down in threads for saying something that the "regs" don't agree with and this put them off putting themselves in that position.
Personally I think the most important thing is that they actually come onto the site regually to keep up to date. If they actually post whilst there are here all the better.

Think that is exactly the problem perhaps if we waited until they post a few times and give us a chance to get to know them properly before we start shooting them down they may feel able to stand up for themselves and continue posting
