advice please

Hi everyone.
Im hoping that someone can give me some advice please.
Im 34 years old, and have been a qualified florist for quite a few years now.
Ive worked in many shops, and still am, but to be honest im getting a little bit bored now.
I would love to teach floristry, but dont know what courses etc i will need to go on to gain these qualifications.
Any advise would be great.
Thanks

I think it depends which college you speak to. The local one here only requires a basic general teaching qualification which is two years part time. The one I went to in Cheshire said they require a full five year course. You are probably best contacting a college in your area and ask them for advice

when i was at college many moons ago it was you had to have icsf and then you had to take the one above complrtly forgotten what that ones called but that was for reaseheath for the local college to me they took me on and put me through a teacher training course with an exam at the end all free i taught night classes with the future view to teach nvq florisrty there as they couldn't offer the corse at that time and wanted to expand in that area but i got the offer of my shop so gave it up but i would defo go back and try that again

As I understand it if you are qualified to level 3 nvq you can take an assessors course and are then qualified to teach level 2 - presumably, therefore, you can teach a level below your current grade. I would contact SOF who should be able to give you exact details, courses, where they are etc.
