I am living in the 'KINGDOM' and training in Kays in Dublin. A good friend of mine has been good enough to allow me to do work experience in her shop. Loving it!! Wish I had done it years ago but never knew how to go about it. There doesn't seem to be the level of training available in Ireland that there is in the U.K. unless you are living in Dublin.

True we have 2 colleges here in the North other than that it would be florists offering course but their courses wouldn't have a recognised qualification

Would love to do a course with a recognised qualification but alas I have no-where to turn so I did my research and have gone on reputation. Also I am learning so much from my florist friend. As long as I am able to do a good job when I have finished training I will be happy.

Should be ok have lots of friends brill florists with very successful business who have never been to college just in shop training

Ya it is. The course is for three full weeks. Have done the first week and another in April and the last in June. Quite difficult as hubby has to take time off work to mind kids etc. But hopefully it will be worth it!
I have wanted to do this since I was 16 when I did work experience from school so as I'm now a 30 something its now or never!!
