Hi,Just came to say hello !
My Name is Mary I am a fully qualified florist of many years standing,(more than i care to remember sometimes), here at Gretna Green,
My work consists of wedding, weddings, and more weddings ,10 months of the year.we are in the middle of what we call the silly season here.anything up to 12 weddings a week ,I just stumbled across this site,when looking for something else on the net.
Last year there were 5,683 weddings in the Gretna/Gretna Green area.
lots of brides travel with fresh flowers others have silk,and jo soap here has a fare few,there are only about 6 local florists in the area, some have a shop and others are mobiles working from home. so plenty room for everyone.(a bit of useless information for you !)

My goodness Mary are people still rushing off to Gretna Green to get married? I thought that ended when the age was dropped to 18? Mind you I guess it is still a romantic idea to get married over the anvil, makes a difference from the old Scottish way of jumping over a broom
