Apologies for jumping into your thread, Tree. Couldn't help barging in.

I have just a month ahead.
After my initial task of understanding the way things work
am supposed to come up with ways of building the customer database and
getting some sort of system in the florist place.

There was a mention of the software system Strelitza in one of the previous threads.
Has any one used it or any other software, which apart from aiding day to day activities
will also help to build a customer database for pro-active selling.

That's going to be one of my retirement projects Onion. After all these years thinking 'this would be handy etc', but never having time to do it properly. The most importanet thing is to devise a system that is completely idiot proof and easy to use. There is some very clever software on the market but it usually assumes that the user is sitting in front of the pc all day. There is tremendous potential when it comes to getting all the information together and yes it could be so usefull, but i suspect most working florists would not have the time to keep it updated on a day to day basis. Lots of food for thought though.
