Have to admit that I am not a florist though. Having been let go at my Wrk (the familiar downsize), I've have been browsing looking for opportunities etc. Am hooked with the amt of interactions going on in this forum

Worked for many yrs in building software for diff businesses. Am trying to go on my own now. Want to put my skills to build S'mthing that can solve practical problems than colorful bells & whistles.

Since my budget is small, am thinking of some small/simple/inexpensive package focussing on solving a few important requirements well. Can I interest you in providing some expert advice ?

yes, its a great site;only been on here a day and a half - but am hooked!

I can't really offer you any practical advice on what type of software would be useful to a florist as am not working full time. Also I don't know details of what already exists (have heard of stuff, but not sure what it does).

Perhaps open it up as a new thread to see what response you get.
