Upps
Upps I think I forgot to introduce myself, when I joined this forum.
But here it goes. My real name is "Trine" Iīm from Denmark. I started when I was 16 y.o. as "Helpinggirl" or afternoon girl we call it DK. And then I just became so much in love with the flowers, that I kind of stuck to it. Then I finished buinessschool, which is requirred in DK before going to our shcool to become Florist. And I recieved my papers as a finished Florist in 2001 I like competitions. And have been competing for about 6 years. Iīve just been accepted to the jury of floristjudge in DK. and I hope to finish about 2 - 4 years. Iīm not married, but thereīs a ring on my finger, We donīt have any children, but a 60 kg. female Rotttweiler named "Tilde" I live far out in the country, on a small farm. |

Thanks Rach
I know we will one day. I'm so proud of my wife how hard she has worked to build the business and I have been right behind her all the way. As I have said before, looking how well we have done with the first shop, I wish we had done it alot sooner. It was so difficult to stop being Mr.Average and actually doing it. I will say one thing. If all you Florists work as hard as my wife does which I wouldn't doubt then I take my hat off to you all. There are very few jobs that demand the amount of time and attention to detail that you lot put in. And I don't think many people appreciate that. Excuse the spelling I haven't sussed the spell checker out. |

Your english and spelling is a lot better than some of us english speaking people good luck for the next 3 weeks and hopefully you will be up and running before you have to go back I find it very rewarding and no I guess the customer does not appreciate all our time effort and hard work

Hello Bellis I have a florist friend over here who is oringinally from Utrech (think that's correct spelling) and so I know your route into floristry is a lot different to ours and you have a lot more written work than our college here or at least my friend had when she did her dutch masters etc

Thatīs correct
Yes itīs true, we had to do a paper, for each design we did. and the last test at school was to give acces for the finally excam. twenty pages and then alle those extra pages with drawing of window display and calculating and so on.
Not as tough as the german masterschool. but almost. or it felt like it. Did think about going to germany once. We have to have been in the buiness and do well for few years before they (the top that runs danish floristry) consider sending anyone to germany. But it would take two years to finish, and the teaching was at german. And the only thing I would have when I got back to DK would be a fancy buinesscard, that said master of florist. no extra pay. So Iīm okay with the card that says Florist. Iīm proud of the card thatīs says Florist. and I had just found my fiancy when they offered me the trip, which I had to pay for myself. So I wanted to stay at home, a try to have a kind of life on the side with floristry. A family. but I go to the fancy workshops when there are any. and hope, more like dream, that one day, I might be as good as the Masters of florist. and have a litle family. |
