Hi I'm Sally, I'm 42 years old and will be opening my new florist down in sunny Worthing in August, I have 8 year old twin girls and a little madam who is 4 years old,(starting full time school in September) hence that's why I'm opening my shop . Busy looking for staff, shop fittings, wholesalers etc. Started in the trade as a Saturday girl when I was 14, went to college and took City and Guilds in floristy, then went to Gatwick and worked for 10 years for the airlines, then came back to floristry doing alot of private work, which I have been doing for the past 10 years, keeping my hand in. Mum will also be helping in shop, she's also a qualified florist and a flower demonstrator for NAFAS so she's very handy to have. If anyone knows of any good wholesalers down in this area I would be very grateful.

Hello my name is Jaydeeh from SW London and I have been a florist since 2003 purely by chance. Since starting, I have worked in a number of shops and in September 2005 I opened from scratch a shop which I managed for somebody else who isn't a florist. I really enjoy floristry as it always present new challenges and it makes me even more creative.
I am now in the process of buying my own and in the next 3 weeks, I should have the keys in my hand as the proud new owner - I can't wait! I've already got a big wedding for up to 150 people lined up for September 2006 and I'm really excited about it as it will be held in a posh venue in the heart of Mayfair. I shall let you know how I get on the first month of owning my flower shop & perhaps even include some photos from the wedding so watch this space and till then, have a good weekend! Be a happy bunchie! ![]() |
