Hi there I'm Kate and have just found this amazing site! As you can guess I'm a bit of a flower freak and am soooo excited to find fellow flower followers.

Well hi everyone
Its sooo nice to see that I'm not the only 40+ with life changing plans.
I'm currently still under construction - taking Advance Floristry at college
This is my year for buying a shop and so I'm on the look out for an existing business in the Hampshire /Surrey area. I am really pleased to have found somewhere that other florists talk openly with one another.

Hello Rach, thanks for your welcome. My little boy is also very well behaved in the shop- most of the time!. He does enjoy putting chrysanth heads in oasis but I guess any toddler would! He helps me put flowers in buckets when my delivery comes in and waters my plants in the morning- so yes, maybe you're right, he will follow me into the florists industry. (or he'll be a farmer like his dad!). Jo

Hi everyone...
Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum today and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Jon and I live in Northern Ireland and have just take the plunge to start my own business retailing gift baskets having worked in telecoms for the last 5 years.

I have been researching the idea for a year and have established by own website Smart Hampers with other smart ideas in the pipeline which will operate under The Smart Group umbrella.

As you may have seen the web site is still being added to on a daily basis so I have spoken to Petals to bring them onbroad as an affiliate, has anyone dealt with them before?.

Finally I would welcome any comments on my idea and hope to speak to you all again soon.
