rosemary plants for cut foliage?
has anyone used rosemary plants instead of buying cut rosemary? they'd have to be a decent size though to get long enough stems. I was thinking for weddings etc because its about a pound a stem as cut foliage and I love the idea of using it all around the outside of a container but it would work out v. expensive

Yep, I used them once. Really worth while. I found I had to wire up a bunch and insert it into the bouquet, but that was OK. Then you can plant them up and wait for them to grow again
I do this with heather too ![]() |

I have some rosemary in my garden, they grow quite quickly and are quite hardy, you can be quite harsh with them, it does them good to be cut back once in a while. Is it a new thing to use rosemary in wedding flowers, are other herbs used also?
