rosemary plants for cut foliage?

has anyone used rosemary plants instead of buying cut rosemary? they'd have to be a decent size though to get long enough stems. I was thinking for weddings etc because its about a pound a stem as cut foliage and I love the idea of using it all around the outside of a container but it would work out v. expensive

My bloody cousin hacked down a eucalyptus tree in her garden and didn't tell me! What a waste! I think Rosemary grows like wildfire in the right place. Er, thats not a very helpful answer really is it!

Yep, I used them once. Really worth while. I found I had to wire up a bunch and insert it into the bouquet, but that was OK. Then you can plant them up and wait for them to grow again I do this with heather too

I bought a rosemary plant for my garden the otherday. It's about 14 inches in height and has loads of stems, cost £2.99. So I reckon you should get planting.

I have some rosemary in my garden, they grow quite quickly and are quite hardy, you can be quite harsh with them, it does them good to be cut back once in a while. Is it a new thing to use rosemary in wedding flowers, are other herbs used also?

Here's a question to you gardeners out there - sosas/rosa alba.... on a recent walk home from the pub my tipsy boyfriend very kindly picked me some rosemary sprigs as he's decided he needs some growing in the garden. Is it easy enough to grow from cuttings and what do I do, just stick it in compost?
