help! wild flowers for funeral
Got a PAPA in letters for next week they want all wild flowers!? colourful and natural looking they have requested heather, lavender, and dog daisies? be included if pos.

we were thinking of getting a few shrubs etc in to chop off and maybe some dill, scabious, spray roses, asters, cornflowers, nigella, thistle, that kind of thing assuming they are all still available

any other ideas gratefully received

anyway wild flowers does that include garden flowersif so alcamilla mollis,mint,rosemary,tyme and astransia fountain grass but you don't really need our help STOP panicing you will do a fantastic job cause your a great florist Sarah

wild flowers
Don't use dog daisies they wilt just talking about it. Why not cannibalise a couple of hedgerows - can't get tougher or more natural than that. This time of years a lot has gone over to berries but you can get some great textures and then use things that might be in the garden now - leaving out xanths - some rose hips, lavender, heather, unfortunately everything delicate has nearly gone. Asters?

you were all right all the soft stuff had finished now but managed to get some nice stuff form foraging in peoples gardens etc and it ended up costing hardly anything in shop flowers

I finished it and was quite chuffed, then the family came in to 'view' it this afternoon and said they want it to look clearer.......you wanted it wild!!!! for gods sake so I've had to give it all a trim and make it a bit neater, oh well
