So if poly is consigned to the bin, what is your favourite alternative?
We like to use raffia a lot, but still use poly bows for some hand ties.

I agree with you, I don't like poly ribbon but a lot of the customers do. When I offer them a small bow of chiffon type ribbon or a big bow of polly ribbon most go for the poly ribbon. It's a matter of taste I guess. I try to stick to raffia on all the modern designs, and the nice ribbon for all the expensive hand ties. Any other suggestions out there????

I'm using raffia quite a lot just now, it gives such flair and pzazzzzzzzz!
However it is proving a tad difficult to persuade the more elderly in the village that less is more. They still prefer the big flouncy show of poly ribbon and wonder why i am using STRAW to tie my bouquets "Is it 'cause times are a bit tough dearie!
