I have a couple of h/t sets and about half a dozen showers. Then 4 table centres to match colourways.
Last fayre I did, I had a couple of on the day orders for next spring, but the most surprising was an order for a fortnight later! and another has just got back to me for prices for end of October. That is deffo a bit tight.
I have just booked a 4 metre stand at Aberdeen fayre in the New Year
God only knows what I will be doing there!!!
I have also had a bride order for a wedding date 2 weeks ahead. She was getting married 2nd time round in a register office so wasn't going to bother with flowers, then at the last minute changed her mind! RE-Aberdeen fayre how far into the new year is it?

Fair I booked is weekend of 12th Jan. I need my ruddy head looking

Best last minute job I ever did was a few years ago, half past two on a friday, squeal of air brakes outside, maaaassive scrap waggon, absolutely gorgeous girl jumps out of drivers side and rushes in and says
"According to the b**** of a MIL I need flowers and a dress for tomorrow, so can you do something for about fifty quid. Its for the registry office at one. I am just off to dress shop, see you in morning at ten."
She came back next morning, jeans and jumper, greasy as hell, still in waggon. I got myself up there to see her arrive, yes in the waggon,it had loads of ribbons tied on it, the groom was driving, and my god, she was gorgeous. A true beauty. Just let herself down by putting her fingers in her mouth and letting out one hell of a whistle and shouting out, "hey, he loves it"
at me. I actually had a little snivel.

Hi Ian I did a few wedding fayres at previous shops, I've not had time at my shop yet I'm hoping to do some in the new year. Even though doing one colour scheme theme looks lovely I find that some brides can't see past the colour if its not anything like their own theme. So I tend do you a few different colour ways that complement each other.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I have done two wedding fairs at my local hotel in October last year and March of this and got 26 orders from them in total and also the hotel has asked me to all their flowers. It was great, I have seen the bookings for the hotel for 2008 and they are up in the 60's already and 34 civil's booked too. Obviously not all requesting flowers but I got an additional 15 orderes from the hotel.

I popped along to a local wedding fair today - only 1 florist there and she was overrun with people; sounds like its worth doing.
