Whatever you decide, double it!! I'd charge per foot and make up on site so add in for that too (danger money)

Well, did one recently outside church, loads of greenery, spray roses and lilac, didn't use loads of flowers but a heck of alot of greenery, quoted £20per foot (which included my time) so it was a nice earner, then I charged delivery charge as it was 20 miles away, only did it as we had to decorate whole church and reception, had 3 of us out there and 1 left in the shop, but it was a very good order

I've done a few of these. I wouldn't price this by the foot because unless you want to trust the bride to measure it, you will have to go and do it yourself. I would price for either covering the top of the archway or the whole thing i.e. down the sides as well. Which you would be looking at, at least four/five metres for. I usually green it up and then check it against the door when I get there, add the flowers and then attach it. It can be very fiddly attaching flowers when it's up, it's also worth keeping in mind you, when you cost it up, you will need tall ladders (large van) and two people so someone can hold the ladders.
I would also add an amount on this to add in to the total set-up fees.

p.s. if it's to go on the church doorway and its stone there may already be fixings on it if not it could be a pain so be prepared wth your own.

Tricky to price as depends just how wide you need to go . Also, you may need to cover the underside and the back - well at least with greenery - so that bridey doesn't see all your mechanics. It works better with larger scale flower heads like hydrangea and liliies as they really fill a space. I use tree ivy to green - masses of it - and green day before putting the flowers in on the day. Otherwise the village kids will have fun pulling out the flowers. Charged £250 for my last one.

Worth checking with the vicar/churchwarden that if there are not suitable fixings already in place you are allowed to hammer nails in. Round my way a lot of churches have strict rules and we are categorically not allowed to do this.

it is really difficult to work out correct charges i had one that pussy knows all about! and i only charged 300 for it it was at least 600 but wasn't too bothered as i had a new pic for the portfolio
the problems i occured were the venue wouldn't let me attach anything to it sp had to have a free standing one so used a rose arch and attached pan handles going up filled with lots of ming and ivy but the bride wanted loads of flowers agreed to use gerbs and cheaper roses i will attach pic for you to seeAttachment 266
