a few beautiful interesting 'choice' flowers and some contorted hazel branches..something like cucuma maybe, or fritillaria or ooh lotus flowers like water lillies. I don't really know what theyuse .. just what i'd like

it seems that the rules behind this particular sort of arrangement are quite important, i would probably go into the woods to see what i could find,and what would inspire me, i think i might have a go at one if i have the time over the weekend or if i can be bothered!

My suggestion would be : Some branches from an old apple tree, or maybe Japanese cherry branches, a few nice rocks , 2-3 anthurium , a sushi plate or any other flat thing.( what do you call the things we put the flowers into, and I don't mean the vase? )
Maybe asperagus plumosus. Never tried to do Ikebana but this could look like it, I think. ![]() |
