i love looking at your work treen. ive only done two wreaths at college up till now. found it very theraputic.would love to be able to do something like this one day

Get yourself an off cut of designer board, a couple of wraps of double and some oasis spray paint to practice with. You could do a tiny piece just so you've had some hands on.

Smithers Oasis Floral Products

I prefer these ones as the back is a little more solid than some of the alternatives.

Treen i have only just had chance to look at this thread and you are lovely to help these other florists out and in so much detail

Thank you treen. Truly beautiful and immaculate work as always.

I did my Rover badge. It was small! I had to make just the basic shapes, but added detail with gold wired cord for the flag and lettering. I will post a photo...eventually (don't bend my ear about my bloody camera/computer!)

I am pleased I have tried it, but I found it a bit demoralising only having a teeny weeny board. It made it too basic. Trimming the flowers works well though. My tutor looked a bit weirdly at me...tough! I'm doing it the Treen way!

I made it slightly raised towards the centre so it had the profile of a badge. My tutor said that it HAD to be raised. It added another dimension I guess.

I have one word to say to that and I won't use it here!

It so upsets me when a tutor says "MUST" or "HAS" to!
I am always open to learning new methods as long as it enhances a design or makes it easier or more profitable. I so often hear this sort of thing from students. They are told to do things in a certain way when it has no benefit to the end design.
