Help with anchor and lorry

Eeeek! I have to do an anchor AND a lorry on Friday, on my own, and it's the first time I've done either. Got the xanths ordered and back-up sprays. Any tips would be much appreciated. Are you there, Treen?

Sorry Ally!

Sorry Ally I missed your thread yesterday.

There are a few different anchor frames made commercially available so that one isn't a problem at all. I have loads of different pics of ones I've done I can let you have a reckie at if you like.

Is the lorry 3D or flat?

I have some pics of both so let me know and I'll post 'em for you.

Thanks FBA and Treen... they are both flat, got my frames this morning. The anchor looks fine, as you say Treen, only 2ft high, but the lorry is a different prospect! It's arrived 4ft long and 2ft high!!!! I didn;t ask for a monster truck, but think I got one!!! It's going to take a LOT of spray!!!! Any pix would be appreciated!!! Of both, please.... I'm only panicking cos I've got those - a first - PLUS a full coffin spray, a single-ended and a double-ended and I'm on my own most of the day....

Ally has the customer specified colours for the lorry? If not you could leave the trailer white which would cut down on time. Good Luck. Let us knw how you get on.

flat bed lorry

Thats from the Val spicer site but its only the flat bed, not the Articulated one.....

If you ask your supplier he could get you a Poster which shows all the Val spicer Design collection, it gives you sizes, at least that way u won't be given a shock with the sizes and can price accordingly.

Theres also a Book and leaflets for the Oasis products..

Hi Treen, We'll be doing them tomorrow... I say 'we' now, cos I've got help from one of the girls, as our newbie is going to do an extra half a day.... takes the pressure boff a bit, but neither of us has done the lorry before. Unfortunately, the lorry has to be light blue, and I have livery to go on the side, so it's gonna be fun!!!! Wd be great to see the pix, ta!

Ta for that, FBA, we have got an old poster which doesn't have a lorry on it. It's a Val Spicer we've actually got, but it looks a bit old, faded. Probably laughing their heads off at the suppliers - 'finally got rid of that ****ing lorry' kinda style.... I'm always very vague when pricing. I just said it would be well over £100.00. And then some, I reckon!! But there's other pieces I alsosaid that about for the same funeral, and they will be nowhere near, so all's fair...

Anchor

This is quite a traditional anchor design - pretty bog standard.

I can't get to my lorry pics as I'm away for the weekend. I'll post them for you another time.

Just a couple of tips for you with the lorry.......... keep the basing close to the surface of the board ............ trim the petals between any coloured sections and make your design unique by adding little finishing touches. I find that adding a small spray of flowers to these sorts of things is a good way to divert the eye from any aspects you don't like.

Good luck!
