we done one of those earlier this year it is weird coz you can see the body through the wicker when you are wiring it on to the coffin but it does look good, you just have to be brave

Good luck with the hand hurter hand tied,cramp is offset by cash in the till..as for the funeral directors,dont view it as just a body,its still somebodies loved one and if you get yourself in that mind set..repeat after me,"its not a body its a person at rest"you will get through it easy peasy,oh yes and work qwickerly..te he!!

No problem with that one Treen I had one to do the other week, really easy to attach and it really looked lovely. I fell in love with the wicker coffin and have put my name down for one. We did a very rustic tied sheaf for the top and ivy garland around the edge. ( I tied the sheaf at the tie point through the wicher weaving of the lid )
If it makes you feel any better I spoke to my recipient while decorating her Casket, good job she didn't reply but I think she would have been happy with the out come. Enjoy your learning experience!!!! Never a dull day being a Florist!

When I did a wicker coffin garland the FD brought the empty coffin to the shop the day before the funeral for us to attach the flowers. Created a bit of a talking point .

We really enjoyed the wicker coffin ......... not sure it's ethical to post pics publicly ........ Cala will probably sign on later and elaborate!
