Little floral tributes
Sadly I had a baby funeral to do this week for a friend of mine. I have posted some pics on the gallery as they were all a bit different. I don't much like doing these tributes. The family were happy to leave the designs to me which ended up being a bit of a responsibility!
Do things always take you twice as long when you do them for people you know?

Lacelon!
The lacey stuff is called "lacelon". As far as I know you can't buy it any more...... it's worth asking your wholesaler if they have a dusty stock hidden away somewhere. I kept a stock from years ago as I really like it on baby tributes ..... it's nearly all gone now so if anyone knows where you can still get it let me know ....... I'll be sad when it's all gone
It's the sort of stuff that can look really nasty used in the wrong place but I love it for these little tributes. It is water and stain proof and used to come in some lovely colours. It has a draw string running through it which you can pull to make it frilly. I never use the string as its a bit overkill ....... I just pleat it like normal ribbon.

Thanks Ian
![]() The little bear was a bit of a challenge .... I really wanted it to look like a babies bear ..... the 3d val spicer frame is really "square" and "edgy. I spent about an hour chopping bits of the oasis away to make the shape more friendly. I completely chopped of the horrible feet and gave him some new ones and I made him a proper little snout. It was a shame I could only get the snow queen double it was really heavy and difficult to work with but I had to make the best of it.
