At least she now knows that once you've passed the exams it's a downhill slide until you reach this level.

Hello Louisa.

I´ve done about 10 competitions. I think. 2 of them Danish National. (DM) and have just entered the judging cometi here in denmark as a judging student.

Of cource you´r nervous. I can tell you, I thought I should W... the first time.
No one talked to me, or said hello. They snobbed. Prepare for that, and pay no attention to it.
Just keep the face strong, and the fellings within. But do smile and talk, and say hello. Allready then you above them. Because you have the strenght to be nice.

The first is always the "worce", then you might become addicted

The most importing thing is:

1. the optical and fysical look is in balance
2. no dead or broken flowers (of cource)
3. just because something looks fancy, it´s not nescary god work.
4. the judge ( well here in DK, the judges oppinion and taste is not importent, and certently not proffesional, if that should count after their taste).
So F... the judge. Do what´s right and what you feel and like.
5. keep the look "clean" and let the "meaning" and idea shine though.

everything has to be there for a reason. if there´s no reason. Then it´s not needed.

And remember for every time you compete, you will grow. And get better and better. and you will make friends ect.

It´s very hard to say, and give tips. There´s is so many things. And it´s hard to say do that, do this. then you will win. Because, there´s so many things.

Believe in your selve, and enjoy and learn. And what ever happens. You come out stronger, than you went in.

Remember what you learned at flowerschool.

thanks i know this in my heart but i ve got a sneaking suspicion that in england its the judges taste that counts and my face may not fit we''ll see what happens i had a dream last night that i had to make this front facing arrangement for the competion and i couldn t do it i just stuck all the flowers in the oasis at the same height but if that happened the i would die laughing i'll let you know what happens thanks for your kind words
