Long Trailing Bridal Bouquets
The trend with brides this year seems to be longer and ever longer for bridal bouquets. Just curious as to how everyone manages these trailing bouquets. Do you have a favourite base - Oasis or Val Spicer? Do you glue flowers for extra strength or just wire.
On a similar note I used the new Oasis heart shaped bouquet holder recently and was completely baffled by the little white ribbon loop on it. Even Oasis didn't seem to know why it was there...... any ideas, anybody know what I'm talking about!! ![]() |

in days of yore
In the olden days to get the length of a shower bouquet everyting would be wired and taped......then taped together working your way up the 'shower', sniping off the excess wire as you go, until you get to where you want the handle to be, then spool wire flowers in place to get the shape at the top. Find this method much, much lighter to hold, especially with the showers getting bigger and bigger. But VERY labour intensive!

It is a load easier with using silks rather than fresh, but even when I did fresh I still wired the bulk of them. |
